Microsoft Build Keynote Video
A companion video that turned into a keynote opener
Microsoft's Build conference is their annual event for developers, and the 2022 conference was all about showcase what’s possible in code with natural language AI tools. CTO Kevin Scott requested a video as a social extension of the event. When they saw our edit, they decided to have it open the event instead.
We told real stories of budding projects addressing societal issues and challenges that might motivate developers as people. We showed how AI unleashes—not overshadows—human potential. And I personally selected a powerful music track that put us on the hunt to track down rights in Australia from a now-broken-up band.
“Free to Build” has gained traction as a core theme in the story of Microsoft’s evolution into the AI platform company.
